Quality, methods of packing and marketing of packed waters are defined and treated by the recommendations, rules and legal regulations from this area. 

In the world, packed waters are, more or less in that way, defined and elaborated with normative and special-methodological regulations.

For the evaluation of packed waters quality and for the defining of regulations in this area, recommendations from the Codex Alimentarhis Commission (CAC) of World Health Organization and Food and Agriculture Organization are used. Every country legislates standards and normative deeds, consistent with their possibilities and specifications. These standards and normative deeds regulate quality and all other activities which follow the production of packed waters and their distribution on the market.
