Quality -> Physical characteristcs -> Colour

Colour of underground water and colour magnitude depend on chemical composition and ingredient characteristics. Underground waters receive yellow colour from the organic substances. Underground waters from peat bog and muddy ground have yellowish-umber colour because of humus and fluvine acid presence.

Presence of ferro-
hydroxide gives to the water yellowish-red colour, manganese compound gives grey colour and copper-sulphate gives to the water blue colour.

Consequence of yelowish-red colour is iron presence in waterConsequence of blue colour is copper presence in mining water
